- Under the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS), 24 precision analysis laboratories with about 150 professional personnel are onducting the safety analysis effectively utilizing the laboratory information management system (SafeQ), and carry out study and analysis about the identification method of country of origin, GM food, grain yield, etc.
- NAQS conducts safety analysis on harmful materials including agrochemical residue, heavy metal, toxic fungi and parasites through SafeQ, the information management system of analysis center in order to enhance the effectiveness of the safety analysis task and monitor the disposal process at different stages.
- NAQS is developing the method to identify between Korean beef and imported beef by using the difference in gene expression and DNA sequence by cattle’s species. As for rice, NAQS is analyzing the property of DNA on domestic rice and 121 foreign rice species.
- NAQS performs R&D on the contents of organic components of diverse agricultural products by using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and e-Nose.
